The report. My Leg Is Cramped! 23.09.16
One of the brightest and most charismatic Russian rock bands, Nogelo, performed a big autumn concert at the Aurora Club in St. Petersburg. As usual, the show went off with a bang.
The band's leader, Max Pokrovsky, knows how to turn his world inside out in front of the audience like no one else. But the main thing in a live performance of a musician is precisely sincerity.
The inimitable foolishness "Brought My Leg together"; colorful, shocking (but far from stupid) lyrics, beautiful music – all this cannot leave anyone indifferent. That's why the band is loved. And there is hardly a person who has not heard at least one of their songs.
The performance at the Aurora began quite unusually and interestingly – Max Pokrovsky played the drums. No, he didn't sit at the drum kit. There were two huge drums in the middle of the stage, and Max had no less huge sticks in his hands. He played, periodically jumping very high.
In general, we must pay tribute to the musician – at the age of 48, he performs tricks on stage that even many twenty-year-olds cannot do, as if he does not age. And his songs are the same – the band keeps up with modern trends, so new compositions, such as "Eat my heart" or "in100gramm", are written, as they say, "for the spite of the day."
They talk about the pathological addiction of modern people to the Internet, and about the frenzied pace of life, when almost nothing alive remains in a person.
And yet, in my opinion, the old songs that have already fallen in love with everyone, "Leg Cramped": "Lilliput love", "Siberian love", of course, "Haru Mamburu" (where without it) and many, many others are much more sincere and closer to people. Although, perhaps I'm wrong, because life does not stand still and we need to move on.
Anyway, the audience really loves "Cramped Leg". For example, during the performance of the song "Moscow Romance", Max managed to collect not only 1,500 rubles, but also a rather large and bright green cucumber, which was solemnly eaten after counting the "alms". Well, that's just a fun fact.
In general, of course, at almost any concert, the audience is very actively supporting the band, the atmosphere is such, but here everything was special.
When the audience knows the words of absolutely every song and sings, sometimes even drowning out the vocalist, it's incredible.
The concert was filled with sweet moments – Max Pokrovsky often sent greetings to his friends and people who helped him in his creative work. The most memorable episode was when the musician dedicated the song "Wolves" to people named Anya and Vanya, whose love story began with this song.
No less vivid, but still sad (well, I can't take this song without sadness) was when people turned on their flashlights to "Our young funny voices."… And it turned out to be like a starry sky.
After playing for an hour and a half, the band (of course, after several encore songs) went backstage. The audience dispersed. But after this concert, there was a feeling of warmth, happiness and joy. And what else, no matter how they help, helps to wait out the cold Petersburg autumn?
