Our history
2001
June 2, 2001 — start of Radio SHOCK internet broadcasting. This date is considered the founding day of the radio station. One of the first online radio stations in Russia begins broadcasting from St. Petersburg.
2003
Development of online broadcasting. Radio becomes accessible to listeners worldwide through the internet. Audience expansion beyond Russia.
2008
Broadcast format expansion. Addition of new music genres, original programs and guests from the music world.
2012
Launch of mobile app and website update. Beginning of the digital broadcasting era.
2014
Start of FM broadcasting in the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation. Radio SHOCK goes on air on FM frequencies, becoming accessible to listeners in the region on traditional radios.
2016
Implementation of HD-quality broadcasting. Launch of video broadcasts from the studio in St. Petersburg.
2020
Major technical infrastructure upgrade. Installation of new servers in Russia and Europe to improve stream quality.
2023
Media license renewal (EL No. FS 77-85442). Continuation of broadcasting in a new format with improved sound quality and content. "I'm in SHOCK!"
