Dead by April is back in Russia again!
The band was formed in 2007 in Gothenburg, and currently consists of Christopher Anderson (vocals), Pontus Hjelm (guitar, vocals), Markus Wesslen (bass) and Markus Rozell (drums).
Dead by April debuted with a self-titled demo album in 2007, which was actively circulating online. An expanded version of the demo, consisting of 19 tracks as opposed to the original 10, was released in 2008, but was also distributed mainly via the Internet. Having signed a contract with Universal Music, the band has already entered the world stage with the single "Losing You". The track climbed steadily to the top of the Swedish charts and was in the lead for 2 weeks in May, and at the same time the band finally released a full-length album. He took second place in the charts with the hit "What Can I Say". Dead by April successfully toured all over the world, including Europe, Japan and Scandinavia.
In 2010, Hjelm left the band as a touring musician, but remained as a composer, replaced by Zandro Santiago. The first release was the compilation "Stronger", which included weighted mixes of some songs, such as a cover of "Killing Joke". That spring, the band announced the completion of recording their second official album, "Incompatible". It was released in September and reached number two on the Swedish charts. The band was constantly on tour in 2011-2012, even hitting North America and gathering a full house at Webster Hall.
In 2014, the band released the stunning album Let The World Know, many of the songs from which instantly became hits and also firmly established themselves in the European charts. At the same time, the band's line-up is changing again, and now it seems it's time for Dead by April in four persons again. The pure vocal parts are left to Pontus, and Chris is responsible for the screams, who organically joined the band and definitely brought something new to the band's work.
