On November 27, the Aurora Concert Hall in St. Petersburg will host a big solo concert by the band ALAI OLI!
A twelve-year history full of incredible events, five numbered albums, hundreds of concerts in Russia and abroad, tens of thousands of fans around the world - all this is Alai Oli today.
The release of "Balance and Depth", released in May 2016, was the result of a complete rebirth of the band and an important milestone in the search for their unique creative approach. The album's presentation concerts in St. Petersburg and Moscow gathered over 5,000 people in total, and the performances in Kiev and Yekaterinburg showed that Alai Oli's music is needed by people both outside of Russia and in its very heart.
The core of the band is Olga Marquez, Alexander Shapovsky and Ilya Flugeltaub, who were joined last year by guitarist Denis Kharlashin (Sun Say, Krec), drummer Ruslan Gadzhimuradov (Long Arm, IOWA, Amy Peters) and keyboardist Andrey Artemyev (IOWA).
According to Olga Marquez, it was with this line-up that it became possible to accomplish what was unthinkable a few years ago, and the magic of sincerity that the band's music has always been filled with is now in full force.
At the same time, Alai Oli remains the clearest example of an independent group, whose development cannot be measured by any ratings or figures. Each concert of the band is an intense experience of real humanity, it is the beating of hearts that beat to the beat of songs that are funny and sad, peacefully wise and desperately frank. The words "every drop will become a huge blue sea and rain again" are perhaps the best way to explain what each note is played and sung about.
